UOM master or Conversion master in Retail POS

UOM or Unit of Measurement is the master which is used to create the various types of conversion for items and map them with each items for better tracking in inventory management.

Business rules

• There is menu called UOM master under inventory master. User should go that screen screen to create a new UOM or conversion.
• In UOM master screen, user should enter the UOM name and should select the one of the value in following UOM types
  • Base UOM – Base UOM is the base unit or base conversion of an items.
  • Sub UOM – Sub UOM is the derived unit or derived conversion of an items.
• Then user should select the status as active and after entering all the input details user should click “save” function key to save UOM.
• The created UOM list will be loaded in UOM conversion vs item mapping screen, so user can configure items under UOM.
• Also the created UOM list will be selected during the item creation at item master.
