Delete Practice Data in Retail POS
Delete Practice Data feature is used to delete all the master, transaction or both from the application.
Business rules
- Before clearing all the data, system should take the current backup of the application.
- Data clean up process should be proceeded when admin password is entered.
- There should be the menu called practice data cleanup under tools for user to delete the required data.
- To proceed data cleanup user should go to data cleanup menu.
- Then user will select the required option to clear data from one of the following options
- All masters – Process will remove all the data in application and application will become same like how it get installed.
- keep all master – Process will remove all the transaction entries and retain all the master in application based on the sub option selection
- If “keep all master” option is selected then user should select any one of the sub option from
- Master only – Process will retain only masters names other details will be removed.
- Master with price – Process will retain master with their respective prices other details will be removed.
- Master with opening stock – Retain all masters and opening stocks other details will be removed.
- Master with closing stock – Retain all master and closing or current stock. The closing or current stock will be the opening stock of the application.
- After that user will click on the function key called “Yes i agree” to proceed the data cleanup process.
- Then system will ask about to select the following options only when user used application in two different financial year
- Financial years (Ex:- 2020-2021) – System will retain the opening balance of the selected financial year in accounts
- I don’t want financial years – Remove all ledgers opening balance.
- Then user will click on the function key “proceed” to continue the data cleanup process.
- When data clean up process is proceeded system should ask to enter admin password to proceed. So user will enter admin password.
- But before proceeding the data clean up system will take the current backup of the application for restore purpose.
- After that system will run data cleanup process and remove the required details from application based on user requirements.
