Year end feature in Retail POS Accounts

Year end is the process of closing the current financial year and then the closing balance of the current financial year will move to the next financial year as opening Balance.

Business rules

  • Financial year start from current year April 1 to Next year March 31 for every year.
  • Year end process should be done in application in every year.
  • There should be the separate menu called year end process for user to do year end process.
  • User should open year end menu at the end of financial year date.
  • The user should select the year and proceed year end by pressing on the function key called “proceed”.
  • System should have option for user to select on freezing the year end or not.
  • i.e if user freezes the year end, then system should not allow user to edit or make new entries in last financial year. If didn’t freezes, then system should allow user to make or modify the entries in last financial year.
  • At the end of every financial year, Bill number or transaction numbers should restarted from 1.
