Barcode print in Retail POS

Barcode print screen is used to take the barcode print of the specific items in labels with required details. The printed labels will have the customised details with barcode field which is scanned in POS transaction to load the items quickly. It avoids the manual searching of an items at POS transactions.

• Barcode printer should be mapped with POS system
• Barcode design will be come from PRN file or customised design in POS system.

Business rules

• Once the PRN or barcode design is mapped to barcode printer, User can take the barcode labels in configured barcode printer.
• There is a menu named barcode print under sales module, user should go to that screen.
• Load items separately or load items by GRN number, repack number or opening stock number.
• Details like, price (MRP and selling), batch, Paked date and expiry date will come automativcally from the master and transaction or enter the required details manually.
• After loading all the required items with details take barcode print by pressing on the function key called “print”.
• Multiple products and N no of qty can be printed using this screen.
• To load products from transaction (GRN,repack, opening stock), click on the function key “transaction” and select the type of transaction user want to select and enter the transaction number (Ex:- GRN No), once transaction number is selected, all the items which is in that transaction will loaded screen to take print.
• User can remove unwanted items (If any) and user can edit the qty as well and press “print” function key take print of all items which is in the screen.
• System should allow to map multiple barcode design from both POS design and PRN file.
• If multiple barcode design is mapped, then system should show all the mapped print design to select and print labels.
• Barcode printing feature should be supported to every types of barcode label paper and it’s different size.
• Once the barcode labels taken out, paste the labels on the products and scan the code which is in the barcode labels during sales
