Pre-Requisite Activities
- Department wise profit & loss.
Business Rules
- Department Identification and Allocation- All purchases must be linked to a specific department within the organization.
- All transactions must be tagged with the department name or department code at the time of purchase.
- Purchase Classification- Purchases must be categorized based on the type of goods or services. Examples include office supplies, IT equipment, maintenance services, etc. –
- Only authorized purchases should be included in the report.
- Time Period Reporting-The report should allow for filtering by date ranges (e.g., monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Transaction Details-Each purchase entry in the report should include: – Purchase date – Supplier name or vendor ID – Item or service description – Quantity purchased – Unit price – Total amount spent .
- Currency and tax information should be clearly stated for each department purchase.
- Reporting Frequency and Distribution-Define the frequency of the report’s generation (e.g., weekly, monthly).
- Ensure reports can be easily exported to Excel or PDF formats for sharing.Custom Reporting Views – Provide drill-down capabilities to view individual transaction details within the department.

User Interface
Step 1 : Select ‘Dept Wise Profit & Loss Report’ in Menu Logistics Reports -> Dept Wise Profit & Loss Report or Search Dept Wise Profit & Loss Report in Lookup.

Step 2: After opening the Concern Report, it appears as shown in the image below
