KIT, Assembly and Ingredients Item creation in Restaurant POS

Kit, assembly and ingredient items are created in item master for to manage restaurant inventory effectively.

Business rules

• KIT item
  • Kit item is the restaurant sale item which is cooked in kitchen before starting the sales at POS. This items are made and ready at restaurant before start to taking the order.
  • There is a “Preparation status” input field in item master, select “KIT” in that preparation status field to create a KIT item.
  • This items needs to be configured with ingredient items in recipe configuration screen.
  • Kit items need “production plan and production entry” screens to plan and prepare the required amount of KIT items in kitchen/central kitchen for sales.
  • After the production entry, the stock of KIT items will be increased as per production qty and stock of ingredients will be decreased based on recipe configuration.
  • Once the KIT items are sold at POS, the stock of KIT item will be decreased.
• Assembly Item
  • Assembly item is the restaurant sale item which is cooked in kitchen after taking the order at POS. Till the order is placed this items are not made in restaurant.
  • There is a “Preparation status” input field in item master, select “Assembly” in that preparation status field to create an assembly item.
  • This items needs to be configured with ingredient items in recipe configuration screen.
  • User can’t maintain stock for assembly items, user can maintain stock inventory for ingredients.
  • Once the assembly items are sold, the stock of ingredients will be decreased based on the recipe configuration.
• Ingredients Item
  • Ingredients is the raw materiel which is created for to prepare KIT and assembly items.
  • There is a “Preparation status” input field in item master, select “ingredients” in that preparation status field to create an ingredients item.
  • In recipe configuration this items are mapped in different UOM with KIT and assembly items.
  • This ingredient items are purchased from the supplier.
  • Once assembly items sold the stock of ingredients will be decreased.
  • Also once the production entry is made for KIT item, the stock of ingredients items will be decreased.
