Mail Settings in Retail POS
This mail configuration feature is used to for user to configure their e mail with POS application for automatic or easy mailing of a reports to business owner or to admin. It will reduce the manual task of user in sending the daily reports to owner.
Business rules
- No need of export in excel format and send through gmail.
- User should have update their email id and password in POS application.
- There should be the mail settings module under tools, user should open that screen.
- Then click on the create domain and in create domain name screen, Select domain name from the list (Ex:- gmail.com), then system will auto load SMTP server as smtp.gmail.com, SMTP port as 465 and SSL as 1. After that user will save the domail details.
- Once domain created user should click on add profile and start to enter the details like Account name (customer name), email id and its password and the select the saved domain and click save to save the profile.
- “Allow less secure app” should be ON for the entered email id user should make sure of that.
- Once the mail configuration done, user should open the required reports, There should be the send mail option on each reports.
- Click send mail option, then the system should show all the user’s mail id details in To mail id. In from mail id the configured mail id will reflect.
- Select a required mail id and select the report format (excel, pdf) and click on send.
- System should allow user to schedule the mail with specific time for each reports, Once this scheduler is done, system will trigger the auto mail of configured reports to the configured to & cc mail ids.
