Purge manager in Retail POS
Purge manager is the process or feature which is used to reduce the sales by specific percentage from the specific date.
Business rules
- System should have date filter option so that customer can filter data using date and do purge for that selected date only. So rest of the date transaction will not affect after purge.
- Admin password is must to proceed data purge.
- There should be the menu called purge manager under tools for user to purge the data.
- To do purge, user should go to purge screen.
- Then system will ask to enter admin password to proceed further, so user need to enter the admin password.
- Once admin password is entered then system will take backup of current data.
- Then user should select the purge type from the following options Category, All transaction, Reduce sales, Audit purge, Data clean up.
- Then select the options based on selected purge type ( with stock, without stock, with outstanding, without outstanding)
- For reduce sales option, user need to enter the % of sales to reduce the transactions from the actual sales for each items.
- Once the percentage is entered by user for all items, proceed purge by pressing the function key called “proceed”.
- After the purge process completed the data will be reduced based on the percentage given and the purge type selected.
